Who Benefits from Full Arch Restoration?

Full arch dental implants offer a comprehensive solution for individuals facing challenges such as missing teeth, misalignment, or oral health concerns.

Our expert team designs personalized treatment plans to address your unique needs, whether it involves repairing damaged teeth, replacing missing teeth, or correcting bite problems. With full arch reconstruction, you can regain optimal function, allowing you to enjoy your favorite foods and communicate clearly.

Full arch dental implants are ideal for individuals facing various dental challenges, including:

  • People missing multiple teeth
  • Individuals experiencing difficulties with conventional dentures
  • Patients with deteriorating dental health due to missing teeth
  • Those wanting a permanent, natural-looking tooth replacement

During your consultation at Oral & Facial Reconstructive Surgeons of Utah, our experienced team will assess your dental health and discuss whether full arch dental implants are the right solution for you.

The Process of Full Arch Restoration

Upon your initial consultation, our oral surgeons will conduct a comprehensive examination, which includes digital imaging. This allows us to thoroughly assess your oral health and engage in a detailed discussion regarding your treatment goals.

Following the assessment, our team will embark on treatment planning. A personalized treatment plan will be meticulously crafted to address your specific needs and objectives. This plan will outline the steps involved in the implant placement process, ensuring clarity and transparency throughout your journey.

The surgical procedure, known as implant placement, involves precisely positioning dental implants into the jawbone. These implants serve as artificial tooth roots and are crucial for the stability and longevity of your restoration. To ensure your comfort, this procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia or IV sedation.

Following implant placement, a healing period is necessary to facilitate osseointegration, the process by which the implants fuse with the jawbone. This crucial step typically spans several months and is essential for the long-term success of your dental implants.

Once osseointegration is complete, the restoration phase begins. Custom-made prosthetic teeth or bridges will be meticulously crafted and securely attached to the implants, restoring both your smile and function with remarkable precision.

Throughout your journey, regular follow-up appointments will be scheduled to monitor your healing progress and ensure the long-term success of your dental implants. Our commitment to your care extends beyond the surgical procedure, ensuring comprehensive support and guidance every step of the way.

Sedation Options

At Oral & Facial Reconstructive Surgeons of Utah, we offer various sedation options to ensure your comfort during full arch dental implant procedures.

Local Anesthesia is administered to numb the treatment area, effectively eliminating discomfort during the procedure.

IV Sedation induces a deep state of relaxation while still allowing you to respond to verbal cues. Administered intravenously by our trained anesthesiologists, it ensures a comfortable experience throughout the procedure.

General Anesthesia is ideal for patients with severe dental anxiety or those undergoing complex procedures. It places you into a temporary unconscious state, allowing for an stress-free surgical experience.

Our team will discuss these options with you during your consultation and recommend the most suitable sedation method based on your needs and preferences.

Recovery from Full Arch Restoration

The recovery process after full arch dental implant surgery varies for each patient but typically follows a structured timeline:

Immediately post-op, you may experience some swelling, discomfort, and minor bleeding. However, these symptoms can be managed with prescription pain medication and cold compresses.

During the first week of recovery, it’s crucial to adhere to any post-operative instructions provided by our team. This includes following dietary restrictions and oral hygiene guidelines. Additionally, attending any scheduled follow-up appointments for monitoring is essential during this time.

In the first few months following surgery, it’s important to avoid consuming hard or sticky foods and to maintain good oral hygiene practices. These measures promote proper healing and integration of the implants with the jawbone.

In the long term, once you’re fully healed, you can enjoy the benefits of your new smile. This includes improved chewing ability, speech clarity, and overall confidence. Throughout your recovery process, our team will be readily available to address any concerns or questions you may have, providing comprehensive support and guidance.
